Carolina is a current GA student working on her Fullstack Software Engineering certificate. She was born in Colombia, South America, and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in her middle-school years. Her passion for traveling and her early exposure to German language led her to study abroad in Germany where she volunteered at an elementary school discovering her love of working in early childhood education. Carolina received a dual Bachelor of Arts in German and International Studies from North Carolina State University. She received her AMI Primary Montessori certification (3-6) along with a Master of Education from Loyola University in Maryland. After working as a Primary Montessori teacher for 8 years Carolina decided to explore the tech world and has been coding ever since. When she is not in the classroom, Carolina enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling and exercising.
